On behalf of all eDumbe citizens including newly elected political leadership we extend our deepest gratitude and humbleness. The recently held Local Government elections gave birth to new demarcation of eDumbe municipal wards, increasing from 08 wards to 10 wards, the political leadership structure comprising of Councillors from different political parties NFP, ANC, IFP, DA, EFF, and ABC. This would yield new changes in development and the life of the people of eDumbe. I would not go further, without extending the words of thanks to voters; who took their precious time on the 1 st November 2021 and show their confidence in us by sending about 19 Councillors from different political parties to form the Council of eDumbe. The term of the new eDumbe Council will be 5 years with effect from November 2021 to October 2026. We again acknowledge and humble ourselves before you for your confidence in us.  Our mandate is simple, which is to “Work tirelessly and deliver the service to eDumbe community citizens and ensure that citizens have access to the services”. We commit ourselves work hard to change the lives of eDumbe community citizens across all sectors. Motto “SISEBENZELA ABANTU BASE-DUMBE NGOKWETHEMBEKA”. Thank You !

HONORABLE MAYOR - Cllr Sibusiso Mkhabela

I would like to welcome the new Council of eDumbe Municipality led by Hon. Cllr MS Mkhabela and also our traditional Leaders to our Municipal website. Our Council has increased from 16 to 19 Councillors. There are only 05 returning Councillors and 14 new Councillors which make it very interesting because they have to adjust very quickly  and hit the ground running. We are committed to assisting them with training and help them adjust quickly to the municipal environment. We have already held intensive induction training in December 2021 for the whole week, which was also attended by representatives from Cogta to provide assistance on various issues of governance and finances. The administration of eDumbe led by the Accounting Officer is committing itself to work diligently and with honesty in enabling the new appointed Council to achieve its constitutional mandate of service delivery.
