Sports is responsible for the following
eDumbe youth council formed July 2012 and they successfully done the summit where they were deliberating on youth issues, youth budget and their SDBIP as per quarter. They successfully organized the election of eDumbe Sports Council which was headed by Mr. Gumbi (The Provincial Sports Council Transformation officer). eDumbe youth council successfully attended District youth workshop (held at Ulundi, Umgungundlovu) and Provincial youth summits( Maritz burg).
Attended District youth summit at Natal Spar where the following day held the District Youth Day Celebration at Bilanyoni (Ward 04). Youth successfully organised matriculates & those out of school but with metric to attend Provincial Career Expo at Mtubatuba. Youth requested to the management that 50% of the municipal job opportunity be given to young people, that request is implemented and continuing to happen hoping that 2015 will have 35% of unemployed young people.
